Backing up computers is a must, and with this new device it is easy for even the most computer illiterate user to keep all their information safe and secure.
The Clickfree Automatic Backup comes in several sizes, but the 500 GB Multi-PC unit can store files from several computers in one small, portable unit. With computer viruses, power failures, hard drive failures, lightning strikes and other things, most people will experience loss of data on their computer at one time or another. It’s just a matter of time. Even the most diligent computer user who has all the latest security software is not immune to a computer meltdown. Backing up is just as important as a good anti virus software and a firewall. Many people simply do not want to take the time or even purchase a program to back up their system. And if they do, then many novice users do not know how to use the software. Then there is the issue of to where is the backup going to go? A CD? A DVD? An external hard drive? No Software to InstallThe great thing about this Clickfree unit is that the software is already built in so there is nothing to install. And everything is saved in one portable hard drive measuring 3 1/8 inches wide, 4 5/8 inches high, and 5/8 inch thick. It’s easy to grasp and small enough to fit in a jacket pocket or purse. The unit comes with a small manual and dual USB/Mini USB cord to connect from the unit to a computer. Once the user gets the device and cord out of the plastic packaging, which is the hardest part, backing up a computer is as simple as plugging it in. That’s all there is to this. It just plugs in. Once it is plugged into a computer, the device does the rest. The Clickfree will begin searching through the computer and backing up the files. If the user wants only certain files backed up, there is the option to select which kind of files and which folders to back up. The user can also name the computer which makes it easier when backing up multiple systems. Everything in One UnitOnce the backup is complete, simply remove the USB device the way other peripherals are removed, which is usually by clicking on the icon in the system tray (bottom right) and selecting “safely remove hardware.” The Clickfree now has a backup of the files from the computer on its hard drive and all the files are now safe from a computer disaster. Whether is music, photos, documents, or whatever, the user can be assured the files are safe and secure. This is the most user-friendly computer backup on the market today. It’s fast, portable, and most importantly, easy to use, which will hopefully have a lot more computer users backing up their files. Clickfree is compatable with Windows and Mac.
